Through validating assumptions, we can identify beachhead customers. We test the hypothesis of prospective commercialisation opportunities on behalf of our academic partners. We achieve this through activities such as running cluster workshops, introductions to customers with a product validation exercise. We work closely with 1-to-1 project leads to develop strategic thinking, validate commercial viability and align business strategy. 

Once commercial viability is established, funding routes are identified which will allow for management teams and key resources to be allocated. Through this, we will support the spin-out in managing all aspects of corporate structure creation, negotiation and development.

By leading the commercial discussions with early adopters, creating pricing strategies and models we can work alongside the spin-out to establish route to sales and investor readiness. Making sure the proposition is not only commercially viable but also attractive to the right type of investor will help to align with the expectations and aspirations of the venture. 

Through working with academic institutions we are able to support their internal processes and provide expert counsel alongside advisory expertise. We analyse all aspects of the internal university projects, allowing the panel to identify the business potential for developing into a commercially viable spin-out.

We can provide access to wider mentorship opportunities for the spin-out. For example, we can make introductions to industry leaders, innovators and advisory networks.
