Client Story
VENTURE INVESTMENT PROGRAMME client
Helping a clinician turn an AI‑driven idea into a validated, investment‑ready healthtech product
The Vivolution Venture Investment Programme gave us exactly what we needed , structure, funding and enterprise‑grade delivery. The combination of investment, technical capability and access to early clinical validation has accelerated our progress significantly and given us a clear path to scale.”
— Dr Angus Perry, CEO & Founder, gp.ai
Approach
Primary care is under increasing pressure, rising patient demand, growing administrative burden and an urgent shift towards prevention‑led, personalised care. Dr Angus Perry, a practising GP, saw first‑hand how AI could help clinicians work differently: reducing cognitive load, surfacing meaningful insights from consultations, and freeing up time for patient care.
GPai’s challenge wasn’t the idea, it was how to turn that idea into something real. As an early‑stage venture, GPai had no capital to build an MVP, no access to enterprise‑grade delivery capability, and no clear pathway to clinical validation or follow‑on investment. Progress needed to be fast, but also credible, compliant and de‑risked.
Through Vivolution’s Venture Investment Programme, GPai accessed an integrated approach that combined investment, software delivery and commercial support from day one. Working in partnership with Deepbridge Capital and TES (an IBM Platinum Partner), Vivolution helped GPai move quickly while maintaining the standards required for healthcare technology.
The focus was on building the right product, grounded in real clinical workflows, designed with users, and architected for scale, security and compliance.
Impact
Within just 12 weeks, GPai moved from concept to a robust, enterprise‑ready MVP. The platform was built using IBM‑aligned architecture, with security, scalability and compliance embedded from the outset — including NHS, GDPR and HIPAA considerations, and secure, anonymised data handling. A structured, milestone‑driven delivery model gave full transparency to founders, partners and investors throughout the build.
Crucially, the MVP wasn’t developed in isolation. Early engagement with clinicians ensured the product reflected real‑world use, helping refine both functionality and value proposition.
Early outcomes include:
Validation with private GP practices and occupational health providers A growing pipeline of early adopters across the UK and Australia A clear roadmap for advanced AI features and future integrations
The result is a product that demonstrates genuine value to clinicians and patients — not just technical promise.
